Thank you for your comment. This intersection has an older signal controller that controls the intersection with Cumberland and High as well. In addition, there are no pedestrian buttons here to allow for different signal timings, as the pedestrian phase must be active at all times without the presence of this equipment. Although this location has been cited on a signal study as a priority, funding is not yet available to replace the controller and add one at Forest, plus add new wiring as well as the detection needed to make the intersection more responsive. The overall cost for these improvements is currently estimated at a little over $100,000.
