This bridge is a horrible "gap" in the bicycle/pedestrian network of the Bronx.

Cars speed along at 55 miles per hour and there are about 2 feet of usable sidewalk space for the throngs of pedestrians and cyclists who are trying to cross.

Not even wide enough for two skinny people to safely pass one another.

Why do the cars get 99% of the space?
