First of the map is not putting the correct st it is calling Wilson st “rd”. Second why is it necessary to put all the pylons for a bike lane that no one uses. Most importantly when I am driving in my vehicle and there are cars on both sides and an emergency vehicle needs me to pull over where am I pulling over? You have created an unsafe situation and if an emergency vehicle is coming down there to my my house and your bike lane slows their ability to reach me or A family member then your going to have legal issues. Bikes need to “share” the road not take the whole road causing a dangerous situation.

Thank you for sharing your comments on this project. First, it's necessary to install the flex posts (the pylons you mention) because it creates a safer condition for cyclists. We know that with bike infrastructure, there is a certain amount of "if you build it they will come," involved, especially with new bike facilities. Eventually, this project in Willson will connect to new bike facilities on Jefferson (a City project) and Highland Ave (a much longer term state project). If we could snap our fingers and have our whole bike network built out all at once, we would. but we need to build out out incrementally, and this is one of those incremental steps.
Second, if you are in your car and need to move out of the way of an emergency vehicle, the flex posts have been placed 40 ft apart - more than enough room for you to pull over slightly and let the emergency vehicle pass.
Finally, the new bike lanes here have not taken over the whole road at all. We have left every travel lane intact and have not limited turning movements at any location. This new design shared road space between all users much more equitably than before.
