My wife & I are retired .And on a fixed income. We rent a moderate house that uses an out side unit uses propane as the source of heat. With a five hundred gallon tank set away from the house. During the summer we wanted to add fuel to the tank periodically but could'nt because of health issues with my wife being in and out of the hospital. From October on the weather became increaseingly colder October the fuel price was $ 3.70 a gallon. We called and received 100 gallons of fuel. This lasted the whole month. No prblem. Then from November on it got increaseingly colder. A 100 gallon of fuel would last only two weeks. And each time we would call for more fuel the price would rise dramatically. We would call the co. on Monday to order fuel with the gauge on the tank registering around 8 to 10 %.Enough to get through until the next delivery. Give them our bank # then they would say delivery would the next 7 to 10 business days. They would never deliver fuel in the alloted time. When they did deliver the fuel they would read the fuel gauge at under 5 % and charge us $ 42.00 to check for fuel leaks. It appears to me that had there timing right to read the gauge at 5 % and charge extra plus the propane prices rising to $ 4.75 a gallon. We have since gone to another propane co.with far better results. It is of my opinion and of many other citizens in the area that Heritage propane co pf Johnson City Tn. Are crooks and should be held. accountable.
