Why should anyone, who lives and pays taxes in New Haven, care about someone who drives into New Haven everyday? Your poor, tender, commuter buttocks are becoming numb? Oh dear, my heart bleeds for you. Here, let me channel your exhaust pipe into your car, now breathe deep, your suffering will soon be over.

Here is another suggestion: There is an abundance of beautiful mid 19th century houses, on Howard Ave., which are very convenient to Downtown, Yale, the Hospital and the train station. You could buy one of those properties and restore it. Taxes, in the Hill, are much lower than in other parts of New Haven, and as the Rt. 34 project shows, the Hill North is slated for redevelopment, so you could even get in on the ground floor of the renaissance of a beautiful New Haven neighborhood, save thousands of dollars on gasoline not burned, and shorten your commute to a few minutes - regardless of traffic. In short be part of the solution, or, alternatively, you can continue to live a car dependent, time wasting existence with no future.
