Description
Yesterday, 7 Feb, when it was above freezing & about 2" of snow accumulated, we had at least 6 (lost count after that) pickup trucks spreading salt down the street. This is concerning because too much salt is not good for our waterways & Bay, plus it's wasteful of my tax dollars.

Dear User Sara K.,
We will make note of your concerns moving forward. We were aware in advance, that the temperatures were going to dip down to the 20's. With melting snow, that was going to become ice and dangerous for the public. We walk a fine line between did we put enough down or not enough. We are always trying to be mindful and cost effective while protecting our general publics safety. I will visit your street today and evaluate any salt residual. Regards Jim B.

Dear User Sara K. After reviewing the issue in the field, I would agree with your comments. I will speak with the inspector who manages the snow contractor in this area. We will try and do a better job with less salting.
Regards
Jim B.
