Stove oil polluting upper ponds in Robson park, oil is getting through to lower ponds despite spill booms having been put in place. This is a habitat rehabilitation area with beaver, ducks etc, this is not a minor spill.

I also frequent the park and am upset by the spill. I couldn't even walk in the area because of the fumes. I tried a few times to report (by calling on Monday) that the booms were not helping enough. I could not get anyone no matter which way I tried. Today I got busy at work and forgot to phone during business hours and I didn't have a chance to look at it before dark. I sincerely hope that the city is doing a better job of cleaning this up. There is a resident beaver who is already displaced from the ravine where the sewer lines are being replaced. I have seen owls, cranes/herons?, and ducks living there. The rehabilitation was going really well and this incident is so sad! I can only imagine what it looks like downstream.
Do we know where the oil came from?
