Dang deer not using the crosswalks or crossing where the signs are....shoot em

So you think maybe we should kill them all and make them extinct? That would work right. Oh shoot, what or who will pull Santa's Sleigh?? How about driver's be more attentive to driving and going slower in areas where deer are known to be?? Makes more sense. The city should lower the speed limits and enforce them. Instead of people going almost freeway speeds in a 35 mph zone. That way a car would be able to easier avoid hitting the deer.

Come on.... It's people like you that helps add to this issue. Extinct?? Hardly. I have backgroung in wild game management and conservation.. Bambi is in no danger. When a specie exceeds its carrying capacity, you run into overpopulation, starvation,disease and interbreeding. Overpopulation which is in urban areas like Mentor,Eastlake,Solon. And when they start showing signs of deformities from interbreeding,it is a sad sight. So before you start griping about something you know little of except "honey! Look whats under the birdfeeder!" Or when one becomes a hood ornament on your luxury overpriced gas guzzler, you will see.

While the thought of sharp shooting them saddens me, I would rather they be killed that way than splattered all over 90 because they ran out in front of a semi truck. As far as city streets go and side streets, slow down. There are signs posted that there are deer in the area. Unfortunately they lack the skill of looking both ways before crossing the street so its you to and the other drivers to make sure we look for them. At least until there is something that can be done about the over population.

How about quit taking all the land and let the animals HAVE SOME OF THE LAND BACK!!!!!

Sandy.....Land has nothing to do with this in an urban area. The average whitetail has a range of 5 miles. More during the rut. Up to 20 mile radius. They wander where food is available. Be it gardens which i am a victim, grandmas flowerbed or the birdfeeder. There is no controlling where they go. I hit one last year on 90. Salt on the road from the winter plowings also adds to the kills because salt is a very important mineral in there diets. People need to understand that there is no other alternative than sharpshooters. Which is also governed by the states Department of Natural Resources.Also, does have an average birth of twins and tripletts being highly probable.So......look at 8 doe in the back yard and do the math. Will you give up your luxury Mentor home...tear it down and put up a fence to let the state build more habitat? I didnt think so. Unless your willing to do that...buy some land in the country,put the Lexus or Range Rover for sale, and opt for the high dollar option of trapping and removal/relocation. You Mentor yuppies are as blind as your sorry police force and its sad.

Get it right!!! I DONT have a Lexus, Luxury car OR AM FAR FROM A YUPPIE!!! I am constantly having 2 have animals trapped from them living under my house and shed!!! I like everyone else am just getting by!!!! I would rather have deer in my yard than UNRULY CHILDREN PLAYIING WITHOUT SUPERVISION OR CARE FROM THE PARENTS!!!! SO DONT TRY @ TELL ME HOW I FEEL!!!!

I guess were all supposed 2 just keep taking ALL LAND until its all concrete and asphalt

Not at all! I am against all the developments that are happening every day. Fields are being torn up, forests cut down and worse....all the run off spilling into our beautiful streams and rivers. I am also a volunteer for the state that monitors streams. So yes i am against it when it destroys our environment and yes i know what im talking about. Development is happening to parts of Pa where i go where it was nothing but mountains and forests. Now theres a mall and Dollar Stores opening in towns that were a spot on a map. Saddening.
