Description
The apartment burned in January and there is still so much broken glass and hanging debris around the property/on the sidewalk/ on the greenbelt. Probably not the responsibility of the DPW but I don't know who else to talk to.

199 King Street Demolition announcement from front porch forum:
Announcement
Dear Neighbors,
We have been working with Councilor Paul on the 199 King Street property and know she has been communicating with you via this forum. This has been a difficult project due to the age of the structure and challenges with equipment and asbestos removal.
We are happy to relay that the date for the start of the demotion work on 199 King Street has been set as Monday May 9, 2022. The demolition is expected to take approximately one week with site cleanup work happening the following week.
The demolition work was contracted to a Massachusetts based company called Federal Environmental Group. They are working to finalize their parking needs and proposed traffic plans with the Excavation Inspector from Burlington's Department of Public Works.
We will follow up this initial message during the week of May 2nd to provide neighbors with more specifics about any parking restrictions or possible lane closures once the traffic plan is approved.
Thank you for your patience and understanding.
