The best way to check to see if it's indoor water quality has plumbing or piping issues vs. coming from the meter is to go outside and check the water at your spigot. This is the same quality as what is coming into our homes. If that water outside has the smell you are describing, call 727-893-7261, our Disptach Center. If that water is clean and clear, as it should be, you will need to call a plumber to check the pipes and plumbing indoors. There may be a clog forming in the piping system.

The water from the wastewater treatment plant does not come into your home. Wastewater goes out of your home from toilets and goes into sewer pipes and to the wastewater reclamined plant you mention in your neighborhood. That is a wastewater treatment plant which is converted into fertilizer that gets moved away in trucks and reclaimed water that is used for watering lawns. This is a separate piping system. If your neighborhood has reclaimed water and you pay for this service separately. This should not have a bad smell either.

Drinking/potable water goes to your water meter and into your home from our drinking water source in Odessa. This water is piped to St. Petersburg via Oberly or Washington Terrace distrubution centers and is piped to our homes.
