Description

In May 2010 the Province of Sask. passed new regulations prohibiting smoking within 3 meters of a door, window or vent, &
(for City properties it's 9 meters), shortly after it was found that 2nd hand smoke was even more harmful than smoking.
Prince Albert, Sask, a city of 35,000 seems to think they are exempt from the law. With 40,000 Canadians reported to die every year from smoking related ailments, this is a serious issue.
Smokers stand right in doorways, up to 3 or 4 at once, right beside the large print No Smoking sign & smoke to their hearts content, even by the hospital, with no fear of reprocution for their illegal act.
This year I've personally seen 3 instances with people with
a lit cigarette inside a building.
I've had to walk on the street, J-walk to get away from smokers who are in violation every door they pass, hold my breath, cover my nose & if it keeps up will need a gas mask to walk on the sidewalk in downtown P.A.
It's 20l4 & in May will be 4 years since the regulations became
Law. Please enforce the law & let smokers know they don't have the right to put their cigarette smoke in our lungs. Please help keep the air fit to breath.
