Ask a Question ArchiviertThe neighbor, who lives in the apartment below me, harasses me by banging on her ceiling whenever we walk into our bedroom or kitchen, or open and close a drawer. She also turns her audio equipment up very loud during and outside quiet hours. I have spoken with building management several times, and they contact her. She stops for a day or two, and then it starts up again. Can I file a complaint against her with city or the police department for this harassment?

Vacant Building Archiviert308 Academy St Jersey City, NJ, 07306, USA - Journal SquareThere was a prior complaint about the garbage in front of this house. An inspector said it had been abated. In fact, the garbage was thrown into the yard along with the asphalt dug up by Suez crews working on the water pipes. In addition, they opened the basement and left it open. That your inspector said that this site was abated is a joke.

Service Request Not Listed Archiviert308 Academy St Jersey City, NJ, 07306, USA - Journal SquareThis house has been vacant for years. Supposedly, it has been sold. The owner removed an oil tank from the front yard, tearing down all the fencing and leaving a mud hole. Today the front door was open as well as the second floor windows. The fire department came to nail the door closed, but it must be boarded up and sealed off.

85 Van Reypen St Jersey City, NJ, 07306, USA - Journal SquareWe still have no water at all in Journal Square. Though some people in other areas of the city have some water pressure, we have nothing. During the pandemic, we have not been able to wash or even flush the toilet. This is very unsafe and unsanitary.

Streets: Streetlights Archiviert895 Bergen Ave Jersey City, NJ, 07306, USA - Journal SquareSodium Vapor spotlights have been added to the pole on the Northwest corner of Tuers and Aacdemy. While some are aimed at the two schools located here, one is just aimed up Academy Street and is so bright it illuminates my apartment two blocks away on Van Reypen Street at night. Can it be aimed in a way so that it provides light for the street, but does not produce blinding light visible in people's apartments.

Business Signage and Appearance Archiviert297 308 and 310 Academy Street, Jersey City, New Jersey - Journal SquareCouncilman Rich Boggiano still has campaign signs up at the above addresses since last year's run-off. The signs are zip-tied to fences and should have been removed by now. It's bad enough that the vacant house at 308 is in the condition it's been in for decades now, but the signs are an eyesore.

Animal Issue other than attack Archiviert308 Academy Street Jersey City, New Jersey - Journal SquarePigeons are roosting the the roof above the bay window, where the siding is hanging loose. I can see them entering and exiting from my apartment window. We are having a pigeon population explosion and there is pigeon poop on all the fire escapes and side walks in the area.

Vacant Building Archiviert308 Academy St Jersey City, NJ 07306, USA - Journal Square308 Academy Street: This house is falling apart. It should be boarded up and the siding repaired. The owners now the lawn in the spring and then again in the fall, so we have 4 foot tall weeds most of the year. They leave the cuttings to rot on the walkway. Pigeons have rooster in this house and will again. This is an eyesore and it's a house away from The Apple Tree house which is shameful. I've lived here 8 years and nothing has ever been done to improve it.
