Tree debris from emergency pruning by UI contractor. It is now completely blocking the sidewalk.

Large tree branch is hanging on, and being held up by, the utility lines. It is nearly completely cracked off of the tree but is being supported by the power lines. This urgently needs to be removed or it will take down power lines.

Grass in desperate need of mowing at Fairmont Park in the vicinity of the community garden.

Large limb of a Bradford pear tree in Lewis Street Park came down last night. It’s blocking the sidewalk. Luckily it doesn’t look like there was any damage to the park fence.

Very large, active hornet’s nest overhanging Lewis Street Park splash pad. It is hanging directly over the splash pad and is very active with lots of hornets coming and going. It is the large ball like thing in the top of the photo.

Piles of trash dumped inside of the red gate at the upper Clifton Street entrance to Fairmont Park. Not the ballpark entrance but up the hill by the community garden and trails.

Lewis Street Park is still covered in leaves and will likely kill all of the grass if nothing is done (if it hasn't already done so). Additionally, the repairs from the fall (removal of a defunct 'spring animal rocker/ride' and replacement of the slide) were never completed. The rocker ride is now a dangerous hole/cement footing that is a serious risk to children and others.

Community members would surely assist with the leaf cleanup, but that would have to be in coordination with the parks department.

Snow has not been cleared from the sidewalk, forcing people to cross the street (or, more likely, just walk in the street) at an unsafe location.
