Repeated noise issues in parking lot behind 1010 Mass Ave Just now, at 12:45am two guys were sent to leaf blow sand from the lot Very loud and well out of legal limits at this hour No specific event or emergency Just routine maintenance for chronic sand/dust at 1am? On the other end there are regularly dumpsters and forklifts being operated well before 7am I believe this is an institutional building (MIT) but this institution seems to have no respect for the residential neighbors on all sides

Large Dunkins truck parked for over 20 minutes blocking turn lane and bike lane, backing up traffic for 2 blocks and forcing bikes into chaotic vehicle lane. Driver aware of no stoppIng sign. States a CPD officer told him he could park there. No officers nearby. I don’t know if driver is lying or CPD is doing the opposite of their job, but either way this city needs to do better if we are going to prevent the next injury or death.

Truck and (hidden behind) Lyft both blocking travel lane. Sign clearly says no stopping. FedEx driver made multiple trips staying multiple minutes.

I know you’re going to say to call the non emergency number, but there were already officers on scene, parked directly behind and not doing anything. We need a systems change and I will also be sending this picture to city council to make this happen. Paint without enforcement protects no one. I will keep submitting until I can safely bike or cross the street in this city.

Parked in heavy traffic, fully blocking bike lane. Asked to move and he stated he couldn’t cause he was waiting for someone. When I took the picture he began to get out of the car while yelling. Please please BPD do some enforcement. Every day I am blocked, threatened and almost hit just trying to get to work.

MIT facilities truck. No humans loading or driving. Managing to block the bike lane, part of the travel lane and part of the pedestrian crossing. These bike lanes are useless without enforcement and we are obviously not enforcing if this institution feels so comfortable doing this.

Once again multiple Lyfts parked blocking the protected bike lane and bus stop. Sitting for multiple light cycles without picking up or dropping off. No enforcement despite it being “motorcycle season”. This bike lane is useless without enforcement. Whatever CPDs current resources and plan for this are obviously insufficient

Yet again, multiple vehicles blocking bike lane and traffic in this high frequency and high risk spot. A CPD cruiser drove by both vehicles literally seconds before this photo was snapped. I know you’re going to say to call the non-emergency number but it is clear that systemic and cultural change is also needed for enforcement.

A total of five vehicles parking in travel lane, blocking both bicycle lane and a full car lane. No drivers and none of them running. This is a complex intersection that is already dangerous especially for bicycles. If we are going to sponsor parking lots, we should at least charge money. If not, the BPD could try enforcing with tickets, fines and towing similar to street cleaning.

Multiple vehicles parked in no stopping zone. Blocking bike lane and bus stop. High visibility location in broad daylight across from city hall and one block from police station with frequent issues. If we can’t even enforce here then I have little hope for safe streets in the city at large

Multiple large vehicles fully parked blocking bike lane right at a complex intersection. When questioned the drivers refused to move and justified it saying it was a Harvard event with VIPs. Sounds like Harvard may need a reminder that city and state laws still apply to them.

Multiple ride share vehicles (4 originally, 3 by the time of photo) managing to block the entire bike lane, part of the travel lane, most of the intersection (Mass and Remington) and all of the crosswalk. Maybe deserves a designated zone and/or enforcement of current laws

Yet another Uber blocking bike lane and bus stop at this location. Dropped off passenger and then hung out for multiple light cycles until he saw me taking pictures. Open parking spots within a block. Apparently CPD is waiting until motorcycle season to enforce but hoping this can also be recorded for planning purposes.

Large bus from Local Motion company parked illegally for at least ten minutes. No active loading of passengers. Partially blocking MBTA stop and fully blocking access to the protected bike lane. All of the work to create these lanes, plow them, etc is completely wasted if there is no enforcement. BPD refuses to enforce even if I call them (and when I was intentionally assaulted by a vehicle.) Also a recurrent issue with this company. Submitted another report for a different bus parked at the same time blocking bus stop and bike lane at MIT. This city obviously does not care about cyclists and will continue to have deaths until something changes!!

All of the work to create these lanes, plow them, etc is completely wasted if there is no enforcement, and as you can see from reports this block has issues most of the time during commuting hours. (Also a recurrent issue with this company. Submitted another report for a different bus parked at the same time blocking bus stop and bike lane at Marlborough St!)

Rental delivery truck parked the wrong way and armored cash truck. Both blocking both bike lane and bus stop causing cyclist to almost get hit. Recurrent problem with no visible enforcement.

Microbrew delivery truck from Everett mass. Sitting in bike lane and running. Could’ve just pulled into lane but obviously not worth it since no consequence for blocking lane.

Blocked lane right in front of bakery. Makes it impossible to exit bike lane. Uber/Lyft vehicle(both logos). Please enforce and reach out to companies to figure out a longer term solution.
