Notified About

  • Northern Strand Community Trail Malden, Massachusetts - Malden Ward 6
Abutting business (property structure that houses Eliot services) has dumped their snow removal onto the bike path creating a pile that is approximately 4-5 feet high and 30 yards in length and covers the entire width of the path.
  • 23 Jacob Street Malden, Massachusetts - Malden Ward 6
The sidewalks around Trafton park have not been shoveled almost 5 days after the last snow fall. Please follow the same rules you expect the residents to follow and clear the sidewalks next to city owned property. Typical City of Malden do as we say not as we do, disgraceful.

326-344 Broadway Malden, MA, 02148, USA - Malden Ward 6
There are multiple "Car Swallowing" potholes on Broadway from Maria's Pizzeria all the way up to the Broadway Inn
Many have been reported before and were never filled and have become worse with the recent plowing by the city and rogue contractors that businesses along the route employ.

I'm absolutely shocked to learn that MVRCS is in session today, with an early release scheduled to occur in the teeth of the storm. The governor has asked that all non-essential personnel remain off the roads (and even the Bruins have taken the extraordinarily rare step of canceling their game). I understand that MVRCS's administration is not under the control of the city. But given the impact that a decision like this has on public safety and city resources, I'm curious to know what discussions, if any, have been undertaken by city officials with the school's administration. Pushing through adversity and displaying "toughness" are all well and good. But it is a fine line between that and being reckless and inconsiderate to the rest of the community. The decision impacts the safety of countless children and their families, not just in Malden, but also in the surrounding communities from which many of the students come. In addition, the decision unfairly taxes city resources, including potential emergency response to accidents and interference with snow removal efforts. In this regard, even on the best of days, the traffic and parking situation in that neighborhood is horrendous (Jacob Street for example becomes impassable to two way traffic due to illegal parking). On a day like this, it becomes even worse. Most likely, snow emergency parking restrictions will be ignored in the area. Continued special treatment will only encourage the bad decision-making going forward. Any effort to encourage the school to understand that they are a part of a broader community and that they need to be good neighbors and responsible citizens would be much appreciated. Thank you.

I just came in from picking up a costly blue city of Malden trash bag full of recycle that has been blown into my yard from neighbors' overturned recycle buckets which are ridiculously small and ineffective. As I came around the front of my house I see more recycling blowing down the street from the Rockwell end. 1:00PM and still no recycle pick up on this street. I am not now going to go back out and pick up the new wave coming down the street, but I imagine by tomorrow I will be disgusted enough with seeing all the trash blowing around that I will probably make another pass. It is time for something sensible to be done about the trash and recycle in Malden.

Maybe it’s time for more than a friendly reminder
Mercedes remains in front of house
Driveway has room for at least 3 vehicles

Is Malden making any special plans for traffic on Broadway? From the Moose Club to Speedway Gas Station in the morning is now taking almost half hour because of people trying to avoid going over the Tobin Bridge. With the Casino opening in June, is it time to start thinking about moving out of Malden? Are there going to be special detail officers to control the lights at these major intersections? It would be nice to see a Malden Traffic Cop pulling traffic through these jammed up intersections once in awhile.

This is the issue for most of the sidewalk on this street. My cousins elderly neighbor fell because of this very sidewalk.
  • Elwell St Malden, MA, 02148, USA - Malden Ward 6
I have noticed many trucks are using Elwell Street as a cut through from Broadway to Maplewood to avoid Salem Street and Broadway grid lock in the morning. Bad enough we have to walk on the Street to get down Elwell to the bus stop we are now taking our lives in our hands. I have seen Milk trucks, cigarette trucks, and many others that have no business up here. Can we get trucks for delivery only signs, And some speed enforcement? It has gotten way out of hand up here.

1,2,3 Show you space savers that have been used all winter long. I was under the impression that NO space savers were allowed in the City.

? shows you a 4ft pile of snow that the neighbors placed there from shoveling and snow blowing their stairs, walkways and driveways on to the street, is this allowed? because there are 3 other spaces on the street that look like this.

Winter parking limits all of us, but this year in particular has been harder than most. neighbors are not using their driveways, using space savers and shoveling snow into usable spots.

When you come home from work if you are lucky enough to find a parking spot you are then held prisoner because if you leave your home more then likely you will not have a spot when you return.

If anything can be done this Home Owner would greatly appreciate it.
