I moved here over a year ago and was told about the large dog park that was being built, and yet--- still only have a park for small dogs. In this era of inclusion I find this particular funny and sad.

I also don't understand why Milpitas went with a cheap, messy, dusty, and discoloring sand like material for the park, itself.

I implore you, speaking on behalf of all dog owners that use your parks, USE real dirt and grass, not this cheap dusty disgusting sand.

Also, please find a solution for the water fountains in the dog park as the lowest one is constantly clogged which backs up with stale water, which could create a potential parasite/virus situation.

We put so much pressure on the residents to maintain the park cleanliness, rules for where dogs can go and can't. We pay our taxes and provide many amenities for people with things we will never utilize, please focus on finishing what you started (the large dog park), and listen to your constituents when it comes to the sand, PLEASE.

Tennis courts are being misused. Single person is using multiple tennis courts for multiple hours to provide coaching. I believe it’s un fair for everyone else.

Adding bicycle racks around Gill Park will make the park much more accessible and increase ease-of-access, since residents will have the option of riding a bicycle to the park if there are many bicycle racks to lock a bike. Right now, driving to the park is the most convenient option due to the combination of few bicycle racks, and the bicycle rack(s) being far away from where we (the residents) might want to go.

A good starting point for adding bicycle racks is the area near the basketball and tennis/pickleball courts, since this is a high traffic area and frequently used by residents. Additionally, placing bicycle racks near the benches by the softball field will make it easier for children to get here during practices and games.

This bicycle rack seems like a good candidate to add near the softball fields/near the basketball and tennis courts: https://cyclesafe.com/bike-parking/bike-racks/event-bike-rack/
while something like https://www.theparkcatalog.com/bike-dock or https://www.madrax.com/post-and-ring-bike-rack-par look like good candidates for less high traffic density areas.

    Hi,

I wanted to see if I could request converting some of the tennis courts into pickleball courts at Bob Mcguire Park in Milpitas, CA. The sport is one of the fastest growing sports and 1 tennis court can be converted into 4 pickleball courts, which would allow for more use of the space.

Ben Rogers Park is frequented by a large number of dogs each evening due to the large open space. It is not uncommon for oven 30 dogs to play at the park
each evening, especially during the weekday. Can the city consider adding an enclosure to covert the used portion of the park into an official dog par? Thank you for your consideration.
