Description

SHARP! burrs on the new benches at City Hall Annex.

The new benches in front of 344 Broadway have sharp burrs on them that can cut your hand or clothing as you slide along the bars.

Not acceptable! This is a manufacturing defect. They appeat to be weldspatter undernesth the chrome(?) plating, but maybe they are an artifact of a painting or vapor deposition process. They appear to vary from about .005" to .032" in diameter, and are sometimes clustered and sometimes singleton.

I'm not sure how you fix this without another hot dip process :(. Maybe that's what has to happen?
