The constant over-development and construction in this city contributes greatly to the rat infestation here - if you have property in Cambridge, you have rats! The city responds by citing property owners, not helpful!

As if it weren't bad enough that we have to live in a construction zone FOR YEARS with the access to one way residential streets closed with no warning on a regular basis, we also have rats whenever they dig up the streets.

I saw two rats crossing Antrim Street (around #132) on Sunday night at about 9pm, June 13th. They came back across the street fairly quickly headed toward Inman Street.

Looks like the city is only looking to make money off code violations… We didn’t have any, but, we have to live with the inconvenience of the digging of the whole Inman Sq. area ( for years) You should be held responsible somewhat for the rats running around the neighborhood now Which was definitely caused by all the digging

Agree with you, the City should pay some of the cost of the rat infestation caused by digging. vs the residents (taxpayers) that are forced to live with rats.

There is NO food source on our property, but rats have chewed holes through both garbage and recycling bins that are securely closed. I gave up on composting with the secured bin as I think the smell still attracts vermin. This is a city-wide issue and I would like to see the city step up.
