City of Corona assigned this issue to City of Corona Code Enforcement

I don't understand. The area I described is sidewalk and alley. Street Maintenance sounds better.

Thank you for reporting this issue. In accordance with the City’s Municipal Code, our enforcement may lead to monetary fines. Therefore, the property owner/tenant must be provided notice and time to cure violations. In that effort, we opened a case, CE21-0723, and a courtesy notice with the information you provided has been mailed to the owner/tenant. An inspection will follow within 3-5 business days. If we find your complaint is a private property code violation, we will issue an official notice of violation, and enforce until the violation is abated.

Your complaint will be closed in SeeClickFix. However, we will continue enforcement until we gain compliance.

This case is not closed. The weeds and trash are still there (picture attached). They look so filthy. I contacted the provided phone number at (951)739-4970 during office hours and no one was there. I still don't understand as this is public area. Why was it assigned to Code Enforcement? In the past it was assigned to Public Work and it was taken care very quickly.
