This is a problem for me as well. The people at 580 Palisade are generally good about stopping traffic/crossing pedestrians when needed.  But when it's very busy I feel bad about that and would simply walk the other direction/cross at that intersection. This is no longer an option; I'm actually trapped without crossing Palisade in the middle of the block. This can be very dangerous, and if traffic needs to be stopped more regularly now for those who live between the construction sites it's likely going to cause traffic problems.  580 is unpredictable in terms of when they are closing the sidewalk, but they seem to be in phase of construction when it's often needed.

Following up on this. The new construction work is out in force today (many PSE&G trucks part of it now). If 580 closes the sidewalk again it's going to be a major safety issue for those who live in between.

I am following up on this issue. Looks like it was resolved, but not closed out. Was this resolved?
