Is this oil getting on private property? Is it hardening & impossible to scrap off and when you do it leaves behind an orange/brown stain?

The source of the leak is above the public sidewalk. The oil is staining the sidewalk and the tree. Nothing hard or orange.

Thanks! I pretty sure a utility pole splerted some substance all over my house, fence and car but the city never returned my calls when I inquired. I can not get the goo off of my property at all. I might take a walk over to investigate the oil at this pole. Thanks for posting

City Hall – DR assigned this issue to Electrical Department

I reported this to Eversource this morning. They came out within an hour, confirmed the transformer is leaking oil, and scheduled a crew to replace it later today.

Eversource replaced the leaking transformer. They even sent a crew to clean the oil from the tree and sidewalk.
