Description
There is an enormous stand of running bamboo on the property next to new Brooklyn rd. After public works cut down all the right of way vegetation I think it was able to get a foothold in the right of way. If you come through again you could spread this bamboo all over the roadside. I am extremely concerned about this bamboo both where it has already spread and for its potential to take over the road shoulder.

But I was informed by one crew member that bamboo is actually spread through their rhizomes which can spread widely underground and send up new culms to breakthrough the surface. The mower will not spread the bamboo.
