Well, I was actually hoping that if I posted, we as a community might be able to brainstorm some ideas for how to "fix" this problem. I know it's a common complaint that police officers don't obey traffic laws and I wanted to do something more productive than just complaining. I don't know if the police are currently monitoring this site, but if so I'd like to respectfully make them aware of how frustrating it is to see a police car - that's not currently responding to a crime - breaking laws that are meant to keep us all safe (the Broadway circle is an especially busy intersection/traffic circle). I think I speak for many of us in the community when I say that we would appreciate their attention to these laws. I also think that if the public knew the police force cared about accountability in this and all areas, it would raise the level of respect they receive. Any other comments or ideas?

Many times the Police are responding to incidents that don't require lights and siren, but do require that they speed it up as long as it is done safely. Everyone should see what its like when the lights and sirens go on, people don't know what to do and either panic and stop or just ignore them. Remember pull to the right and stop so the emergency vehicle can pass safely, this applies when emergency vehicles are approaching from the front or the rear. Try to understand that 99% of the time the Officers are responding to some type of event.
