as of today the 27th the junk is still there

Seems to me like the city of Hartford enjoys our streets looking like crap! Last time I checked the Public Works Dept is supposed to take this stuff away, but surprisingly trash day was 2 days ago and they don't seem to want to do their jobs!

the trash is still there now on july 24th this entire area has trash everywhere I guess people are right that the mayor only cares about downtown and suburbinites because that's the only part of Hartford that's clean I guess us residents aren't worthy of a clean neighborhood thanks seggarra. and I called mayors office twice to be told they can only send complaint not enforce it, wonder whos running Hartford, not the mayor

Sarah, who would they send the complaint to? The public works dept or the residence?

the rule used to be public works picks up the trash, the resident is sent a warning thru mail not to leave bulk unaccepted trash,with a listing of items you are responsible for removing, paint and certain electronics, if this reoccurs then property owner will face fine or charged for city removing items, but it seems these steps are not being followed, public works used to drive around each assigned area and handle this but I guess we don't do that anymore either, just more people being paid great salaries but no one is doing their job, very depressing, lived here 54 years and leaving as soon as I can, seems Hartford is going the way of detriot everyone getting paid , bleeding the city dry, Hartford has gotten drastically worse in a very short amount of time

Trash day tomorrow! Let's see if the city decides to do their jobs

By the way the address is 212 Jefferson St and the neighboring house also

i went by yesterday and these items were still there and another pile is accumulating a couple houses up this is so awful now probably 4months this has been out here

So I see the city trash workers are selective and ruthless when it comes to doing their jobs! This is gonna stop! It's all plastic and wood which the garbage trucks take! But to rip open bags and leave stuff laying around when everything was in the bins is just uncalled for!

yeah this is a prime example of people being paid well in this city but care nothing for Hartford its just collecting a check and going back to the towns were they live, that looks just terrible I cant believe what I am seeing
