There are two additional problems with the new entrance. 1) The merge with the highway is much more difficult and dangerous. The lanes are badly marked (and in some cases the old lanes are still showing), and oncoming traffic has a very difficult time merging with traffic. There have been numerous accidents at the new merge, many of which have required emergency crews. 2) Additionally, there is a lot of danger with the merge of both lanes before the highway entrance merge. There have been accidents, and countless close-calls here, too. Very often, trucks come onto the ramp and drive aggressively, but in general, it's difficult to merge safely. It's poorly marked, poorly planned and poorly implemented.
