Brian - Commissioner of DPW assigned this issue to Steve - Highway Foreman

There doesn’t appear to be any update with this public safety issue. Lots of activity on Golden Ave digging up streets! This issue has been an ongoing problem for 20 years but no one wants to take action to remedy the problem!

This issue has been outstanding for 31 days since it’s been posted & no action yet. What’s the hold-up?

This issue has been outstanding for 91 days. Will this be resolved before the first snowfall?

It’s the end of January 2022 and this public hazard hasn’t been resolved. What’s taking so long?? You had 4 months to resolve this. I expect this issue to be resolved in the Spring of 2022!

Here it is March 1, 2022. Snow is melting! Now is the time the DPW should put this important issue to the top of their list. This MUST be resolved ASAP!!

Here it is March 31, 2020 and no update! It’s my opinion that the DPW doesn’t deem this an important issue. Only until someone falls and sues the City then maybe the Mayor & DPW will do something!!

Does the DPW think this isn’t an important issue?? This project must be completed ASAP.

And still not fixed!! The communication between DPW & City officials don’t know what’s going on in South Medford

I don’t understand what’s taking DPW so long (301+ days) to repair this hazardous sidewalk.
The city has gone ahead and planted unnecessary/unwanted trees in sidewalks that will result in the same problem over years. I seriously don’t understand the mindset of the DPW and where they get their direction!

This issue has been open for 331 days!! What’s taking the DPW Highway Forman Steve so long to address this issue. Please resolve this issue before the first snow arrives.

I have brought this issue to the Mayor & she indicated the someone in the DPW would look into it. And once again no one from the Mayors office & DPW has responded. Doesn’t this fall into the $30 million sidewalk replacement? The people of South Medford are being neglected again!!

The DPW has closed out this ticket and placed the sidewalk repair request in queue for evaluation and correct processing. Thank you for your patience. The DPW receives sidewalk requests city-wide, and when they are closed out here, they have been moved to a master processing point for evaluation, and assignment. They may be addressed in-house, through a contract, or in coordination with other work, such as stump removal. Thank you again!
