Try living next door to Nica's! rumbling trucks all day long (shuddering my house to the timbers), excruciating clamor of trash trucks thundering, ear-piercingly loud, not to mention the noxious, carcinogenic fumes from idling delivery trucks that blow right through my bedroom windows (wonderful for my COPD!--and no doubt for asthma victims too)

The same trucks wake me up in the morning too. Such is living in a city.

there is supposed to be a city rulings that NO garbage or trash pick ups can be accomplished before 7PM. (that went out the window). I called the police to complain. Answer, the policemen must be THERE before they can hand them a summons or a ticket. In other words, there never is a cop around when you need one. so much for city rulings.

I wonder, Guest Trim ,if you are aware that cities are supposed to be the backbone of civilisation not the rear-end of barbarism? Moreover, city dwellers are just as entitled to peace and quiet out-of-hours as anyone else in this country -- as our town councillors were (once) quick to honor, even if you do not

New Haven (esp. the East Rock area) is not enough of a throbbing metropolis that anyone should have to tolerate that kind of racket before 7:00 am.

We are closing older Trash and Recycling issues in order to focus on current ones. Many of the issues reported were resolved by our routine Trash and Recycling Services. Some of the older Trash and Recycling issues were ordinance violations which were responded to by warnings and tickets. If your particular Trash and Recycling issue was not resolved, please open up a new 2019 issue. Thanks.
