The City of Oakland Public Works Department has received this issue. It is registered as service request # 523720. Thank you, in advance, for your patience as we work through a backlog of pothole service requests. Unfortunately the City does not have enough funding to repave all streets in poor condition. With limited funding, our response to resurfacing requests is limited to minor pavement and pothole repairs only. Our Street Maintenance Department will assess your street and determine whether temporary measures might be appropriate. Please understand that this work may be limited to pothole or other minor repairs, and that we have many similar requests. We will do our best to respond in a timely manner. The backlog of streets in Oakland needing pavement currently is $435 million and growing.

dcst - Are you sure about that? I have walked that many times and it appears to be a private roadway on private property. You may want to check with the city to see who is responsible for that roadway.
Let's discuss offline. 510 465 8294. It's always been a public.road serving multiple properties and parcel owners, including church and.former.office building.
What is there to discuss? These are just my thoughts. You should check with the city to see if it is, in fact, a city street or a private driveway. My thoughts have no validity as to whom is responsible for maintaining this street/driveway.
Please kindly stick to facts, rather than thoughts. By asserting that this is a private road, you also assert that the potholes aren't the city's obligation. Thanks!
This is a life safety hazard. We should continue to ask the City to respond to this service request. To the extent the City has a jurisdictional issue to raise, I'm confident they will raise it.
