Hi Jessie,
I apologize for the delay, I have spoken with several residents regarding these lights and informed them that these lights are not owned or maintained by the Town. I am not certain, but believe in the past the property owners have hired a qualified person to change out the light. One of the problems we perceive is the power source may be directly from the abutting house(s) and there are conflicting reports of the type of lights in this area.
We are investigating the possibility for next summer of checking electrical circuits, checking the light type, and determining of future maintenance provided by the DPW. I can be reached at 781-455-7550 ext 346 to speak more about this.

I wanted to update that all both neighbors to the left and right of the street light do not see any indication that the power comes from their circuit breaker etc. If the power source is indeed from the residences, this seems to be something that should be rectified by installing a new light that is properly powered by town power and maintained by Needham DPW. Asking private residents to hire an electrician for a street light seems unusual and certainly is not a preferred resolution now or for the future.
Please let us know if others in the town should be contacted to get approval to get town-managed/powered street lights on our street, as is typical around town.
Thank you!
