The address of this vacant duplex is 615-617 18th St. NW 44703. It was reported on April 17, 2014; Issue ID:1039583...'Closed' by the building department on April 28th and then reopened that same day by a neighbor who asked, "Any way to find out where this property is in the demolition program, i.e. is it still on the list or is there some legal 'block'; and, if still on the list can the neighborhood be given an idea of a timeline for its demolition? If you are not able to answer these questions, please direct me to someone who can. Thank you.". No response to this question was ever posted. Neighbor RE-POSTED same question on June 2nd. Could someone PLEASE respond and take care of this eyesore/safety hazard/health hazard! Vassar Park Neighborhood Association is working tirelessly to improve our neighborhood and need the city to support our efforts.

I have reported this eye sore many times as far as the breakins go ,the city comes out shuts the door and things go back to normal.( or not)

Check Common Pleas Court docket for the owner listed on Auditor website. Looks like there was a foreclosure but no transfer of the property to the mortgage property. You might have to check with a lawyer to get the status of ownership.

I'm having no luck getting it to come up on the auditor's website...tried 615, 617 and 615-617...18th? Please advise :)

Foreclosure was started and dismissed and never taken up again. Owner moved and left no forwarding address. Basically the property will be in legal limbo. About $10 k in back taxes owed ... so probably best bet is to see if city will demo it and get one of the adjacent owners to take the lot.

Other option is if somebody wants a duplex for around $10 k they can foreclose on it through the county themselves.

I as President of Vassar Park Have already researched this Property and get no where the address listed for Tax collection id give name and adress some where on i believe on Frazer N.W. No one there by the Name give. Maybe the city can inlighten on Whom ownes this trash.. oh and by the way Vassar Park Neighborhood association MOWED it this Morning 2' high.. The Neighbor to the west has been mowing since it was Vacated but stopped when he seen he was getting no where.

I have researched the address Tax info list owner on I think on Frazer N.W. That was a dead end on locating owner Maybe the city can help with the property owners info.

The tax Info leads you no where, I have aready researched last year to the owner that is On Frazer ave N.W. No one there by that name.

This one's in legal limbo. Owner skipped ... bank dropped the foreclosure ball .... $10k in back taxes. If somebody wants it as a tax sale for the duplex that's about what it will cost them. If the neighbors want the vacant lot the can call the County Land Reutilization Board and spend $100 to get it (tear down and tax assessment clearing included). Otherwise the city will have to condemn and tear it down at some point.

That doesn't seem possible if the bank owns the home it is the banks problem not the problem of the former owner the house has been boardered up and we were told that it's been on the tear down list for months or maybe years. adding taxes to something that is not taxable. to WHOM are the taxable.
