Please fix our cars are getting damaged

Every time I leave Leila Day via the driveway, my car's front bumper lands on the road. It has already been damaged and needs to be fixed.

Report that damage to the city of New Haven and claim the cost you incur

DPW, will you please fix? This is a safety issue at this point; I have to come to a complete stop in the middle of the road (with oncoming traffic!) before navigating this entrance now. Thank you.

Should note that it's not just deep, but wide as well - it's nearly the entire width of the driveway, so it's not like we have any way of avoiding it when pulling in and out. And it's growing: It's getting further into the street, it's getting wider (parallel to the sidewalk), it's getting deeper, and the sidewalk is also experiencing damage because of it - it's falling apart all along the street edge because of all the motor vehicle traffic that crosses over it every day.

City: This is a growing and dangerous problem in the front of a preschool, with parents going in and out. I have to stop my car in the middle of the street and creep through this thing, and even then my car bottoms out. Dangerous due to traffic in and out stopping traffic along the street, and nobody is happy!

Dept of Public Works: please attend to this growing hazard in the next few days. Our cars are loaded with pre-school and kindergarten children, but we are all forced to slow way way down in turning into the school parking lot because of this terrible pothole. Drivers around us, however, especially in the morning, are impatient and drive pretty fast. Every school day, I am worried about my five year old daughter in the car. May there not be an accident! Please!

Please fix this problem before the new school year at the end of August. I have damage to the bottom of my car & experience the same dangerous situations as WKaplan above

We are closing older 2012-2016 Pothole issues in order to focus on current pothole issues. Many of the older issues were addressed through our Streets Division but were never closed. If your pothole issue has not been addressed, please open a new See Click Fix issue. Thanks!
