You closed the other request because you said it’s on private property, well it’s not it’s on the south side of the street that has an easement, it’s public property.

Hi Steve, If you can give an exact location of the sign I can have someone verify. Some of the locations of the actual issues come up different once they are sent in.

Hello, 4 signs are posted. One in the median at jacaranda and Laurel. The other 3 are on the south side of Laurel in front of the 2 neighborhoods, and apartment buildings on Laurel.

ok, thank you for the clarification, I have sent them to Sarasota County for their review.

They have already said this is a city issue. I spoke with Dan Smith of the County last week.

Laurel Road is a county maintained road.

Well Dan Smith thinks otherwise. We were specifically speaking of the sign on Jacaranda and Laurel

I will have our Code Enforcement guys check this out. Laurel Rd & Jacaranda Blvd are County maintained. They are in the City limits but maintained by the County. Let me have them go out and see where these signs are. I Appreciate your patience.

Removing political litter from our streets should not be this difficult. What if we all started posting our political opinions on cardboard on the streets?

Political sign on public land in front of Treviso Grand Apartments was removed yesterday. Today it is back up. Since this is an ordinance violation perhaps the organization needs to be contacted. Please remove sign once again.
