Dear DPW:
Please close this tkt: this car is not abandoned: google maps photo 2011 shows that car parked on street. Put a flyer/note under wiper reminding them to move car every 72 hrs.
This photo shows the car parked 2 spaces down from where you photo'd it. Have you tried putting a note under the wiper blade for this owner? If it's an elderly driver, do they know they must move their car more at least every 72 hrs? The PSO (Problem Solving Ofc. for that beat (17y) is Ofc. Christopher Keden - communitypolicingbeat17@oaklandnet.com - have you contacted him for help locating/educating the owner? Also, the NSC (N'hood Services Coordinator for that beat is Sun-Kwong Sze ("Michael") 238-7957
ssze@oaklandnet.com - have you tried contacting him for assistance? I'm concerned that while it's not a beautiful ride, losing it to towing/impound fees might tip the scales for someone in a seriously bad way. Before you push that red button, please do your due diligence in contacting the owner.
