I had this happen also, I complained and reopened it in SCF, it got closed again, then a week later I got an email from a city public works person saying the whole stretch of jacked up sidewalk was scheduled for a contracted replacement/repair so it would all be taken care of.
Seems there's not quite enough solid understanding in city depts about how to handle this- the SCF item should actually be left open as the issue is not resolved currently, but telling us on here that it's in queue is a great way to easily notify people who give a crap.
