I have been dismayed at the lack of support for SeeClickFix lately by the city staff, but this is a bit more negative than I would have posted. When pushed, they have responded, but they do fall back into the "busy with other things" mode.

It can't take a lot of time to check the site and forward the requests to the proper department. The city manager may not be completely on-board with SeeClickFix so that proper staffing is being neglected. The city councilors should fix that if it is a problem.

The quote is from an @raleighnc.gov email from an innocent staff member in the " City Manager's Office" I wouldn't feel right about making the name public. Your CityCouncilors email address is a good one, it's just not the one I first found on the city web site.

The way I see it, the City Manager has the option of tracking issues here at SCF or responding to emails forwarded from the Mayor's and CC's offices. It's simply a "good communication" issue and therefore a "good government" issue. The only question is which side is he on? If we all owned Red Hat, I bet the CM could find some "resources."

Concur with NCJKS....what do we need to do to make this (greater SCF resources)happen?? Perhaps its about time to hear from our City Council on how they feel about SCF??

We're still getting approximately ZERO response from CoR on SCF. Does anyone have any idea if they will ever, again, use this tool as a communications channel? I would assert that their option would be revert to telephone calls and emails which would require great effort and cost and would provide less effective service. This represents a major failure in the Mayor's ideal of involved citizen support.

I got an email from SCF saying they were going to work with CoR to make things happen.

SCF is back up. Thanks for your patience during our transition. Of course, as usual, please continue to use other means of communication with the City of Raleigh. Especially those items that require immediate attention. SCF is not always the best method for reporting issues (i.e. water leak, sewer overflow, crime) and directly contacting us saves resources in the long-term.
