Vmail message rec'd from business owner: "Good morning. It's Saturday morning at about 11:00 o'clock. My name is Joel Ice. I have the rebound bookstore at 1611 and 4th St Down near G Street, which is the Cross Street. There is a street area in front of our place that is blocking the water from running down the block and it's getting really close to it's coming up over the curb and I have a fear that we're talking about flooding in my store, the pint sized lounge, whipper, snapper restaurant and maybe the donut shop. So somebody needs to come down here if they can, if your very first opportunity, and take a look at what we do about dealing with the fact that the streatery is blocking water flow to the corner The big bugaboo about all this is that because this building is on a floodplain, we cannot get health flood insurance. So we're caught between a rock and a hard place.Today or tomorrow or on Monday after eleven o'clock. If you need to call it another time, you can call me at my home at five, one. And the owner of Pintsize, Adam Violante, is also committed to solving this problem because she's getting water coming up from the street and in danger of flooding his business.
