Depending upon how much you want your cat back:
1. Put up signs with photo on corners.
2. Ask neighbors if they have seen it.
3. Go out after dark with some food in a bowl & call "here kitty, kitty." Sometimes a cat
will hide until it is quiet.
4. Cats don't usually run away unless they are hungry or frightened. Did you look up the trees
in your area?
5. If you get no response from any of these things, check the streets in the neighborhood
and expect the worst.
Good luck! P.S. - May I suggest keeping the cat indoors all the time!
Hi, guest. Thank you for your suggestions. Yes, we've put up signs, inquired with neighbors and called out for him. We'd keep him indoors if we could -- he was an outdoor cat long before we adopted him; no amount of persuasion will keep him inside.
Ed: I hope you find Kolbaskin. Hopefully a neighbor is feeding him. Are there any restaurants nearby?
If so, check around the dumpsters. Cats are notorious for scavenging. Good luck!
