I agree with Harold and that is why I put two photos up of the road. The decay is widespread. Scarfing ( roughing up) the top surface and putting down a wide patch which is then rolled would be very good. Much better than dribbling on multiple spots to seal cracks.

I have a question. Is there any way to address larger areas where the road is crumbling or splitting up near these potholes? Is there a plan to resurface the hilltop there on Geddes road?
Has the city noticed that the new road surface down Geddes (which was done last year) is developing cracks running from north to south in the new surface? I see three or four of these, ten feet or more in length, very fine cracks but worrying, given how recently the repair was effected. (location of these cracks is (downhill) past the newly installed speed reader.
this is what needs to be done to the top of Geddes. Not just a few shovels of asphalt. I am re opening this issue. Because I think that It needs further attention.

I have filed several similar incidents about areas of road around town that aren't individual potholes perse, but like this one are rather large sections of road that have deteriorated past the point of being able to be patched. They would have been "potholes" if they were tended to several years ago, but now are basically groups of "hundreds of potholes" if you want to use that term. Yet all of the incidents get closed saying "no potholes" found. What is the city's plan for dealing with this? What is the timeframe? If they can't be properly resurfaced due to the winter, why not leave the incidents open so they can be tracked until a time at which it is "in season" so they can be properly fixed?
