The stats on the Comcast outages are now 5 out of 10 --consistent at 50% of business days.

Comcast is telling us that United Illuminating is actually cutting off power while working on a new building, and that construction on Crown Street (digging up the street) cut Comcast cables multiple times.
-Is New Haven Public Works in charge of overseeing that the crews digging up the streets are competent?
-Is United Illuminating not required to keep the power on to existing businesses as they work on new customers' installations?

Wow, down AGAIN today, for the 7th time in 17 days. Who has authority over Comcast in downtown New Haven, is there any oversight body?

These outages affect our phone service as well as internet connection. We understand that the authority is DPUC:

Our internal set up checking on Comcast's connection here in Downtown showed outages for five days out of seven; cable and telephone service down at Chapel and State again yesterday. Suggestions on what can be done to keep business from being disrupted downtown?

Not to jinx the matter, but there haven't been outages in some time now.
