Shove it over and throw it in the street, that's what we did in my neighborhood after waiting two years for them to take down a dead tree. That was 5 years ago and they've never replaced it, nor the one across the street by Canco Park. The city only bought 160 trees this spring, and they put 30 of them around a school. So none of us is going to get replacement trees.

Good morning - hopefully this comment is helpful. The removal and replacement of this tree should be handled by the property owner, not the City. The Jersey City street tree standard and zoning requirements for landscaping require street trees. The owner installed this tree in the summer, did not water it, and it died. If I understand the situation properly, tax payer dollars should not be used to make up for an owner's obligation to comply with the City's rules and regulations. Thank you.
