Description
I've been residing in New Haven, CT for almost 4 years and don't recall seeing or having Quinnipiac Avenue cleaned. Approximately 2 weeks ago they came to sweep the Avenue along with several tow trucks that were taking away residents cars. They never posted warnings or notifications around the day prior to have folks move their cars. I was blessed to have caught my car as it was gwtting dragged off! If this were an affluent white neighborhood, would the same have occurred, or would we have been treated with decency and respect?

Signs should be posted at least the day before, and if no signs are visible you can contest the ticket. I am closing this due to its age, but if the issue re-occurs please open as a new issue.
FYI - the neighborhood where the most cars are towed during street sweeping is always East Rock, by a considerable margin. Our goal is not to tow any cars but just to get the streets clean, so the paper-posting, the new "reverse 911" notices, and other efforts have greatly reduced the number of cars we tow annually (from over 20,000 to 4,237 last year).
