Description

Sorry didn't get a picture. Was in shock.

When biking on grand with my daughter to get donuts, signaling a left turn onto eagle, a car accelerated then drifted around us accelerating from 30-50 mph less than 1 foot from my bike.

Car was going so fast they missed the turn at Clement, spun a donut in the marina, then spun out back to make it to Clement

APD was trailing vehicle, and stopped to inform me to stay out of the way (which or course I did this was crazy dangerous)

I called APD later to file a report and was informed that it was an active police chase for a stolen vehicle, and even tho the car drifted around me well within three feet they did not consider that a crime

APD said the only way a crime can be committed against a cyclist is:

1. Proving intent to hit a specific cyclist
2. Actual collision

It goes without saying had this car collided with me at these speeds both me and my daughter would likely be dead.

Please prioritize fixing north grand. It's unsafe when legal drivers are around, and very unsafe the rest of the time .
