An inspection has been completed and no problems with roadway could be found.

I drove by a couple days ago and not only was there indeed a problem, but in fact an entire section of the road (precisely where I reported the problem!) was closed off with traffic cones. Did they fix it since then?

Just drove by this yesterday-- the problem is definitely there, big time! Not sure why DGS Customer Service 2 said that no problem could be found... perhaps he was just accidentally looking at a different spot. It's on the right side of the road surrounded by cones.
