Ha! Transit police with an open spot RIGHT in front! Last week I saw a CPD car parked half in the bike lane while the officer went across the street to the funeral home. He just pulled halfway in. There was no emergency, he just couldn't be bothered.
Thank you for reporting your concern to City of Cambridge via Commonwealth Connect. We have reviewed the information you provided our staff and will be investigating this issue further.
What happens to all these reports of blocked lanes? If you never report back on the resolution, it disincentivizes reports of future problems. Why should I report if nothing happens? Please inform with at least % of reports resulting in tickets, towing, letters to owners, city reports, whatever happens. and % where nothing happens at all.
In the future, if you see this type of activity, we encourage you to call the Cambridge Police non-emergency number at 617-349-3300 and an available, nearby officer will be dispatched to the location. Tell us how we're doing by completing a short survey at www.surveymonkey.com/r/CambServiceRequests
Oh Captain you must just ride around looking for these and then keep reposting them. Maybe there was an emergency. I know you want the world to stop for you! Not always possible..
