Description

There is no dedicated left turn arrow at this signal for turning from Broadway to Quincy Street. The light signal currently flashes left yellow in the morning rush hour and often only 1 car can move through the intersection due to the oncoming traffic per cycle. Often this happens only after the protected signals for walking and biking have turned on. Heavy oncoming traffic blocks this intersection and prevents drivers from turning left. A brief protected left turn at this signal could relieve backed-up traffic at several adjacent intersections along Broadway, particularly the left turn from Felton and Prescott onto Broadway, and it would make walking, cycling and driving safer.
