Description
I just recently found Forked Creek Trail and started walking my dog on leash here. Several times already, my dog and I have been rushed and jumped on unexpectedly by off-leash dogs whose owners were not even within sight of them. - The trail head entrance here has no signage at all, but really needs a sign stating that dogs must be on a leash at all times here because there seem to be a lot of people who assume that no sign means they don't need a leash here even though Forked Creek is NOT one of AA Co's six designated off leash parks.

Calling the police or animal control for every owner walking a dog off leash in this park is an absolutely ridiculous suggestion. The odds that either department would or could respond and be willing to search 5 miles of trails for an off leash dog is never going to happen.
This is a AA County park and should have the same signage at the trail entrances as any other AA County park informing owners that dogs must be on a leash and under the owners control at all times. That way all dog owners entering the trail would at least be aware that this space isn't a free for all dog park.
In addition to hikers that may be afraid of dogs, there are also often children walking with parents in this park. Does someone have to actually get injured or mauled before a simple sign is installed?
