This is absolutely disgraceful. Albany will let this remain for 10 days before doing anything about if no one else does, it as per code.....and maybe longer. By this time it will be rotted and rats will be scrounging , and it will be blown all over the city.

According to city code (§313-47), property owners are responsible for keeping their properties maintained with regards to lawn and litter. DGS staff will inspect the property for any violations. If violations are found, the property owner will be notified and given ten business days to rectify any violations. After ten business days, DGS will re-inspect the property for compliance. If the property is still in violation, DGS will schedule a cleanup of the property and the owner will be billed. Please note that due to the high volume, these requests may take up to two weeks or more for DGS to clean.
