Description
New, regulation compliant ramps that facilitate easier crossing for the visually and physically challenged have been recently installed along a long section of Centennial Lane. This makes great sense on the west side of the road, but the east side now has ramps where there are no sidewalks along Centennial Lane nor is there a crosswalk across Centennial Lane.

After several attempts, the call was answered.
The ramps were upgraded to be compliant with the ADA rules that state that when upgrades are executed, all related facilities are to be brought into compliance. The ramps were upgraded in anticipation of a plan to repave Centennial Lane. But, the repaving project was cancelled due to budget constraints, but the ramps were upgraded anyway.
The ramps in question that are not associated with a crosswalk or a sidewalk remain a puzzle to the county dept of highways.
