Thank you for contacting UDOT. This signal runs different sets of coordinated timing plans in the morning, midday, and evening time periods and on weekends. These plans prioritize flow along the major corridor to minimize the number of stops for the higher volume of vehicles. This may cause some delay for side street traffic. Since this signal does run in coordination with other signals, the left turns can be skipped. We have rebooted the detection sensors to make sure they are working properly. At 3:30 today, the movement was skipped for three light cycles before I left. There was PLENTY of time for me to safely turn left, but I was not allowed. Eight minutes. Needs work for sure.
