Not sure who is Leprechaun? They do not own the home. There are people in and out all day using drugs- some appear to be minors.

Do you know the people that live there? They have alot of shopping carts full of scrap out front. I saw 2 young kids pick up dope from a car and go inside to use...

If you need help drafting a complaint to L&I, I can certainly assist. Provide some detail either on here or in private message about what specific activities are occurring at the property (description of people, activities witnessed). For Act 90, note the broken doors/windows and list which windows on what floors and which doors on which side(s) of the house that are busted.

Are there any broken doors/windows? If so, which ones and on what floor(s)? Act 90 violations are supposed to get special treatment down at the Department of Licenses & Inspections.

The windows are boarded up... there is a door on the home. There is no electric. They use candles.

You can stay anonymous and continue posting updates here so that the neighborhood stays informed. You can also call 911 whenever there is something of interest occurring at the properties; 9-1-1 calls for your block are routed to the 26th Police District.

If you don't continue to provide data, it's not likely to be made a priority or get attention. I know this block is sparse with neighbors that have visible sight lines to the properties but the more detail you can provide, the easier it is for law enforcement to ascertain what is going on there.

Please also consider a security alarm system in your home and exterior security cams for your property. Security cameras tend to quiet a block when they go up. Homeowners insurers tend to provide hefty insurance premium discounts for installation of these items.

GRB LAW owns the collection rights on the outstanding liens on 2044. Just contacted GRB Law at 215-735-1910 and they said there are no payment plans set up and it's eligible. I'm going to put in a deposit to send this to Sheriff's Sale today.

Yet another update... L&I inspector did a drive-by and verified the seals are broken. Inspector going back out in 2 weeks. Code violation notice is going to the registered owner.

Update: PROPERTY IS HEADED FOR SHERIFF'S SALE. GRB LAW EXPECTS THERE TO BE A BUYER GIVEN THE AREA.

Christoofar, thanks for your help. I've used the email you provided for the 26th District. Here's the text from the email, so everyone knows what's going on. They are dealing and doing drugs on 2044 E Fletcher St all the time. There is a light blue car, and a dark green van with jersey plates that they deal out of then they go in to 2044 E Fletcher. The dealer lives at 2042 E Fletcher St. The customers buy on the street. Then they go into 2044, which has been abandoned for years and a squatter live there. It happens all day long. Its so blatant. Please see links below, everyone on this block is concerned and intimidated. I've seen young teenagers running for them.

Reach Street needs clean up I see they have torn down two vacant properties; however, the space will be come littered by the low lives on the block. Constant squatters breaking into properties and changing locks....I was told by the police department that i would need to evict the person....why do I have to spend money to put this person I don't know out of my house. I can't keep a decent renter due to the activity on the block...I stopped fixing the cut out pipes as they keep breaking in.

It is disgusting in that area! Some blocks are full of squaters who are getting all free utilities (illegally), and a free house! It's amazing and ridiculous!

@ Chica, I feel your pain. That seems to be going on in all of Kensington! How are squatters so easily able to just move into a house, hook up illegal utilities, and live there for years and years like that?! WTH?!
